How They Ended Up With Their Manchester Headquarters

The team’s home base in Manchester, Maine, has its own real backstory. In 2019, Chase Morrill was driving past an old homestead on Route 202 when he noticed a for-sale sign.

The property had belonged to the Daggett family for around 60 years, and locals still remembered the Daggetts’ general store across the street.

Chase called his friend Tom Daggett, and the crew ended up buying the homestead, which dated back to the 1850s and had originally been built on the site of an old tavern.

Chase, Ashley, and Ryan redesigned the farmhouse themselves, opening it as the Kennebec Cabin Company retail shop in February 2020, just weeks before COVID shutdowns hit.

The team later pivoted to open The Woodshed, a restaurant and event space built out of the property’s old woodshed, which now hosts live music and trivia nights throughout the warmer months.

Yes, They Are Still in Business

As of 2026, Kennebec Cabin Company remains open seven days a week year round, with the retail shop and Woodshed restaurant both operating out of the Manchester property, alongside the crew’s continued renovation work that still airs on Magnolia Network.

The show has also expanded rather than slowed down, spinning off Maine Cabin Masters: Building Italy after Chase purchased a property in Italy’s Molise region, and adding another spinoff, Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn, following Chase and his wife Sarah’s plans to become innkeepers.
