It’s Run by the Same Family You’d Recognize From Television
The inn describes itself as combining “the charm of a historic 1800s farmhouse with modern comforts and exceptional service,” with rooms designed around what Sarah Morrill calls “rustic luxury.”
Breakfast is made with locally sourced ingredients, and the property’s historic horse barn is being turned into an event and wedding venue.
The Morrills did not set out to become innkeepers. Sarah told the Boston Globe, “We really weren’t looking for a bed and breakfast or looking to get into the lodging space.”

The Rooms Are Named After the Lakes Around Them
Each guest suite carries a name tied to the surrounding lake country, a detail that connects directly back to the property’s real history as a training ground for harness-racing horses.
The Cobbossee suite kept a nod to that horse-racing past in its wallpaper and styling, the Androscoggin room got a nautical theme after an interior wall came down to enlarge it, and the ground-floor Clearwater suite was built out for full ADA wheelchair accessibility.
Annabessaca, the former Sunshine Room, was upgraded as well. Clearwater is named for a cabin the Morrill family vacationed at for years.

It’s a Genuine Family Business, Not Just a Filming Location
Waters Run operates under the same company behind the main show, Kennebec Property Services LLC, doing business as Kennebec Cabin Company, owned jointly by Chase Morrill, Ashley Morrill, Ryan Eldridge, and Jared “Jedi” Baker.
That means the inn isn’t a side project run by outside investors trading on the show’s name; it’s owned and operated by the same people fans already watch on screen each week.

The Globe reported in May 2026 that the Morrills planned to open in July. The August 23 finale of Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn showed them checking in family and friends as their first guests, according to TV Insider’s season 2 report.
The historic barn, which once trained harness-racing horses, is a separate project. The inn’s website says it will host weddings and gatherings of up to 300 people and marks it as coming soon, and the Globe said it is slated to become an event space by 2027.
