The family in the episode bought a cabin built in 1906 by the Cony family, the same family tied to Cony High School. Chase, Dixie and Ashley went to Cony.

Ryan, Brad and Jedi went to rival Gardiner. So the crew split into camps while they tackled a rotting roof, a full interior remodel and a tight eight week deadline.
