What Happened on September 12, 2025
Wolfe was driving a vintage Porsche 356 on a highway outside Columbia, Tennessee, with Cline in the passenger seat. Cline said an SUV driver pulled out from a side street and they had “little to no time to react.”
Both were wearing lap belts, which was all the old car had. Cline later said she was hit by a drunk driver, and Parade describes that driver as allegedly impaired.
The coverage we read does not name the driver or mention any charges. Cline said she was due in court to give a victim statement, but we could not find a report on how the case ended.
Her Injuries
Cline’s jaw was dislocated and broken in three places, and she also had a broken sternum, broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Her spine was bruised, and she was airlifted to Vanderbilt in Nashville.

Her Recovery, Update by Update
On September 13, Wolfe said the couple was “safe and okay” and that Cline was expected to make a full recovery. Four days later, Cline posted that she faced “a long road of rehab ahead” with a wired jaw.
She also said a major surgery was set for September 22. The article we read does not confirm that it took place.
By October 27, Cline reported weighing 107.6 pounds, down 23 pounds since the accident. TV Insider carried that update.
In February 2026, she posted on Instagram Stories that an implant had ruptured in the crash. She said doctors waited until her broken chest bones healed before operating to fix it.
