She was starring that fall in An Old-Fashioned Family Murder at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey, per Remind.
Gloria, Babette and Virginia
Struthers won two Emmys for playing Gloria Stivic on All in the Family. Younger fans know her as Babette on Gilmore Girls and as Virginia in the Netflix comedy A Man on the Inside.
Parade described her as the only living main cast member of All in the Family after the deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife in December 2025. Struthers called that loss “beyond devastating” in a statement to Deadline.
